Access Statement for Kenmuire Holiday Apartments
This access statement does not contain personal opinions as to our suitability for those with access needs, but aims to accurately describe the facilities and services that we offer all our guests\visitors.
Introduction
Our apartments are situated in a quiet residential area a few minutes walk from Weymouth Esplanade. We have four self contained self catering units, The Garden, The Kenmuire, The Annex and The Loft. Three of these are within the main building, the Annex has its own seperate entrance to the side. We have only one ground floor apartment The Garden.

Pre-Arrival
Please see the map on our website for our location. We are approx 3/4 mile from Weymouth railway station and approx 400 yards from a main bus route (Lodmoor Hill bus stop).
Key Collection, Welcome and Car Parking
Resident proprietors greet guests and lead to their accommodation. We have free forecourt parking, one space per apartment.
Entrance to Property
No level access. There are two small steps from the carpark to the front door, which is 36 ins (900mm) wide, which leads into the hall.
Halls, Stairs, Landings and Passageways
The lobby leads onto a tiled hallway and carpeted stairs. There is a handrail to one side of the stairs. The staircase has eighteen steps up to the first floor landings where the Kenmuire apartment is located. There are then a further sixteen steps up to the second floor where the Loft is located. The Annex via it`s own entrance, has a ground floor bedroom and then 18 steps up to the living area, kitchen, shower room and bedroom 2.
Sitting Room/Lounge
Each apartment is self contained with its own sitting area. The floor coverings are short pile carpet, laminate, tile or solid wood. Seating for dining and relaxing is provided for 4 persons in all apartments. The smart TVs have a subtitle option and complimented with a sound bar.
Dining Room
Each flat has a dining table and chairs. Lighting is natural daylight with additional wall\table lamps and ceiling lights.
Kitchen
Each flat has a well lit kitchen area with either tile or laminate or solid wood floor covering. Sinks and worktops are 36 ins (920mm) above the floor.
Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas
We have one ground floor apartment, and the Annex has aground floor bedroom. All apartments have a king size or double bed. The Loft has a standard sofa bed (4ft) all others have a double sofa bed (4ft 6in). All bedrooms have short pile carpeting. Lighting is natural daylight, with bedside lamps in each room.
Bathrooms, Shower-rooms and Toilets
All apartments have level access from living\bedroom areas to the bath\shower rooms, with the exception of the ground floor bedroom located within the Annex. They all have a shower room with sink and WC and are well lit.
